Our Startup: the story behind our start

Do you ever wish you could attach yourself and contribute to improving agriculture? Maybe thought of leaving a footprint with your work and appreciable experience. With this vision, FarmNet started its journey. An idea to enhance the farmers' lives and change the country's agriculture. Our dream is to implement a chain of supplies of fresh consumables farmed products. Our products will grow with all-natural, eco-friendly nutrients. We hope to connect dots of investors and farmers so agriculture can flourish. Our root concern is food safety and environmental sustainability.

সবাই যখন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পড়াশুনা শেষ করে চাকরির চেষ্টা করছে এবং আশানুরূপ ফলাফল নিয়ে ঘুরছে, সেই সময় নিজের কর্মসংস্থান নিজেই তৈরী করার চিন্তা নিয়ে শাকিল আহমেদ একজন কৃষিবিদ ও কৃষি উদ্যোক্তা হিসাবে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেন। বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় এবং খামার থেকে অর্জিত শিক্ষাকে কাজে লাগিয়ে প্রাথমিকভাবে নিজ উদ্যোগে বেডিং পদ্ধতিতে নিজের জমিতে স্কোয়াস/ যুকিনি এর চাষাবাদ শুরু করেন। ধীরে ধীরে জমিতে ব্যবহৃত নিউট্রিয়েন্ট সম্পর্কে জ্ঞানলাভ করে এবং প্রাথমিকভাবে জমিতে তা প্রয়োগ করে প্রচুর স্কোয়াস উৎপাদন করতে সক্ষম হন। কিভাবে কৃষির উন্নয়ন ও কৃষকের ভাগ্য পরিবর্তন করা যায় সেই ভাবনা নিয়ে তার প্রথম স্টার্ট-আপ অর্কিড এগ্রো এর যাত্রা শুরু হয়। পরবর্তীতে তিনি শসা, বাংগি, তরমুজ নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করেন, এবং সেখান থেকে প্রাপ্ত প্রফিট দিয়ে মাছচাষ করার উদ্দেশ্যে একটি পুকুর কেনা হয়। সুদূরপ্রসারী চিন্তাভাবনা এবং ফান্ডিং এর ব্যাপারে এগিয়ে যাবার জন্য জন্য অভিজ্ঞ ব্যাক্তিবর্গদের নিয়ে পরবর্তীতে লিমিটেড কোম্পানি হিসাবে ফার্মনেট এশিয়া নিবন্ধন করা হয় কৃষক, বিনিয়োগকারী ও ভোক্তাদের একত্রিত করার নতুন প্রয়াস নিয়ে।

কৃষিতে আধুনিক টেকনোলজি এবং মেশিন লার্নিং এর ব্যবহারে কৃষি পন্যের কোয়ালিটি ও উৎপাদন বৃদ্ধি নিয়ে ফার্মনেট কাজ করছে ফার্মনেট। ফার্মনেট এশিয়া আরো স্বপ্ন দেখছে একটি প্রপার সাপ্লাই চেইন ডেভেলপ করতে যাতে দরিদ্র কৃষকরা তাদের উৎপাদিত পণ্যের ন্যায্য মূল্য পায় এবং তাদের জীবনে উন্নতি আসে। ফার্মনেট এশিয়া কৃষি জমির সয়েল এর কোয়ালিটি ভালা রাখার জন্য কৃষকদের সাথে কন্সাল্টেশন করে যাচ্ছে। ফার্মনেট এশিয়ায় নিজস্ব জৈব সারের প্ল্যান্ট নিয়ে কাজ হচ্ছে যাতে তাদের অর্গানিকভাবে উৎপাদিত ফসল জনসাধারনের জন্য সাস্থসম্মত হয়।

বর্তমানে প্রায় ১০০ জন কৃষক ও বিনিয়োগকারীদের সাথে কাজ করছে ফার্মনেট এবং পরবর্তী বছরগুলোতে সেই নেটওয়ার্ক বিস্তৃত করে সারাদেশব্যাপী বিশাল একটা নেটওয়ার্ক তৈরীর কাজ করে যাবে। নারী উদ্দোক্তাদের কর্মসংস্থান এবং ক্ষমতায়নের পাশাপাশি ফার্মনেট এশিয়া একটি এগ্রো-টুরিজম সার্ভিস নিয়েও কাজ করবে। ন্যায্যমূল্যে নিরাপদ এবং অরগানিক খাদ্য নিয়ে ফার্মনেট এশিয়া এদেশের কৃষক, ভোক্তা ও বিনিয়োগকারীদের নিয়ে আধুনিক প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার করে ক্লাইমেট-স্মার্ট কৃষির প্রসারে নিরবচ্ছিন্নভাবে কাজ করতে দৃঢ়প্রতিজ্ঞ।

Micro Investment

We believe in micro-level Investment so that investors can participate in our project with their likings. Ordinary investors with small capital can easily fund our farmers' network through the FarmNet Crowdfunding Platform.

Advanced farming technology

We use sophisticated technologies on our projects. We use Temperature and moisture sensors, related advanced devices, and precision agriculture systems to make our projects, profitable, and more environmentally friendly.

Farmer Support and Training

We support farmers throughout the whole project duration. We provide nutrients for agricultural products. Our training facility prepares them to bring a quality of Agri outputs, overall increasing the product yield and profits.

Secured Investment

We can assure complete security on our investor's money. You will get a profit share on the working project on a regular plan. If things go sideways and the project fails, we provide you a full refund of your Investment.

We like to offer more to our investors. We offer up to 15% of the investment return on a good project, which is high compared to other investment ideas. Furthermore, we offer a much safer investment situation.
